GREEN TEA & LIME

It's the dog days of summer. Sometimes the heat can be oppressive and some Days you don't just need a cool refreshing drink, but you need a bit of a boost. This Green tea drink provides both. A bit of caffeine, tasty flavor, and all of the health benefits that green tea has to offer. 


INGREDIENTS

1 green tea bag
Juice from 1/2 lime
1/2-1 teaspoon agave nectar or sweetener of your choice.
Handful of ice

Garnish (optional):   Mint leaves, lime wedges, or cucumber slices

DIRECTIONS

  1. Boil water and steep green tea in about 1 and 1/2 cups boiling water for about five minutes.
  2. Add in lime juice and agave nectar (or sweetener of your choice). Stir until mixed.
  3. Add a handful of ice.
  4. Drink up and enjoy!
