A DIY walk-in closet!

When you have no storage and a bedroom large enough to hold a bed and another 5' of space, you can use ready-made shelving and wardrobes to accomplish this.  The idea is to divide the room with ready-made (or put-together) pieces, and float them away from one wall.  The front side will be your headboard side and the back the storage closet. You'll construct all of the pieces you find and install them back-to back, creating the headboard on one side and the closet on the other. There are 4 main things to consider when looking for the pieces you'll need to make this happen:

1- On the bed side, find pieces to flank the bed that have sufficient storage to be a nightstand so you get function and save space.
2- Create a 'niche' for your bed inside the flanking pieces so you save space in the room.
3- Find a great fabric or artwork to cover the back side of the wardrobe since that will serve as your headboard
4- Attach all pieces at the top for stability.
