Eco friendly travel items

Going away this summer?  Whether you fly or drive, for a long or short trip, resist the impulse to buy single use, disposable items that are wasteful in many ways.  Here are some great options:

Need a daypack or quick tote to bring back souvenirs?  This folds small, opens large, is sturdy and attractive.  Made by ChicoBag from recycled PET! About $23
For drinks, try this  space-saving, dual use option.  Vapur foldable water bottles come in 18 oz., 23 oz. and 34 oz. sizes and easily roll up to fit a carry, purse or knapsack can also be frozen so they’ll function as ice packs.

For hot beverages, Klean Kanteen has a bottle with interchangeable tops depending on whether you sip hit coffee or chug cool drinks.  They come in 2 sizes about $22 or $27.

These reusable toiletry bottles - GoToobs - are airplane carry-on approved and have no-drip valves to prevent liquids from getting all over your luggage. They also have an easy-to-fill opening, and each bottle has an ID window so you can easily tell what’s in each one. They even work for carrying food!   $25.95 for a set of three 3 oz. bottles, or $8.45 for one 2 oz. bottle.
