Thinking of updating your carpet?  Don't use a traditional product when you can use an eco-friendly one that has a wonderful feel, superior stain resistance, and a variety of patterns and colors.

Mohawk has a new sustainable flooring with SmartStrand® carpet.  37% of this carpet is being made from a renewable resource - corn sugar,. Luxuriously soft, it offers durability and stain protection, while having less of an environmental impact in its production as well as care.  The production requires 30% less energy than that of an equal amount of nylon, and emission of greenhouse gases from its production are 63% lower than that of nylon carpet manufacturing. The superior stain resistance of SmartStrand® is engineered into the fiber and will never wear or wash off; even bleach has no effect on the color!  Check it out.
