1 Hour DIY Marble Tray

  1. Need a project that will take only one hour but give a lifetime of use and pleasure? Make a marble tray!

All you need:
1 marble tile
2 inexpensive cabinet pulls
Drop cloths
Spray paint - Rustoleum in a metallic color
Adhesive: I like e600 or liquid nails
  1. PREPARE:  Work in a well ventilated area. Cover the surrounding area with a drop cloth to prevent overspray.
  2. PAINT: Shake can of Rust-Oleum® in a back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping each stroke. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Flip handles over once fully dry and repeat the painting process. Allow to dry.
  3. FINISH: Attach the two painted handles to your marble slab with maximum strength adhesive glue. Allow to dry for 24 hours. Use your finished tray as desired, for example as an appetizer tray, a bathroom organizer, on a coffee table, a table centerpiece and more.
  4. If you are more experienced you can use a stone cutting bit. Simply drill holes where your handles go, being sure to countersink the screws, and attach the handles with screws on the bottom. I use felt psds to cover the holes underneath.
